Zinc Exposure Causes Disulfidptosis to Induce Miscarriage by Up‐Regulating GATA1/METTL1/SLC7A11 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zn exposure up‐regulates GATA1, promoting GATA1‐mediated METTL1 and SLC7A11 transcription. It also enhances METTL1‐mediated m7G modification on SLC7A11 mRNA, increasing SLC7A11 mRNA stability. Ultimately, Zn exposure up‐regulates SLC7A11 at both transcriptional and post‐transcriptional levels, causing disulfidptosis. Knockdown of murine Slc7a11, Gata1,

Capital services estimates in Portuguese industries, 1977-2003 [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents capital services estimates for 26 Portuguese industries for the 1977-2003 period. The estimation procedure follows an integrated approach under which the flows of capital services are approximated as a proportion of the capital stock ...

A Brain‐Wide Atlas of Astrocytic Oxytocin Receptors Reveals a Glial Basis for Nucleus Accumbens Modulation of Affiliative Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The cellular actors of oxytocin signaling are under intense scrutiny. A brain‐wide anatomical and functional analysis in mice and rats reveals widespread expression of oxytocin receptors in astrocytes. These receptors are functionally active and, in the nucleus accumbens, selectively regulate male social affiliation.

The Fundamentals of the Portuguese Crisis [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper analyses the fundamentals of the Portuguese crisis. The financial crisis of 2007 worsened and triggered the current Portuguese crisis. We argue that the main problem the economy is facing is its output stagnation due to a kind of Dutch disease

Endoplasmic Reticulum Geometry Dictates Neuronal Bursting via Calcium Store Refill Rates and Exposes Selective Neuronal Vulnerability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ER's continuous tubular network is maintained by ER‐shaping proteins whose mutation or dysregulation contributes to neurodegenerative diseases. Here, we show that ER morphology sets the speed of Ca2+ store replenishment between firing events. Disrupting ER continuity slows intra‐ER Ca2+ redistribution from extracellular refill (SOCE) sites, driving

Portuguese Population in France: a snapshot 25 years after their arrival [PDF]

open access: yes
In year 2000 Portugal is celebrating the 500th anniversary of the arrival to Brazil. The Portuguese overseas adventure is now five centuries old and more than one third of the Portuguese nationals are living outside their homeland; in France they are the

Materials‐Guided Gene‐Ionizable Lipid Nanoparticles to Reverse Iron‐Associated Immune Resistance in Renal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Iron overload is a common metabolic disturbance in cancer and contributes to poor outcomes in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), yet its effects on the tumour immune microenvironment remain unclear. Here we identify a previously unrecognized immunosuppressive axis in which iron overload downregulates the palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC12 in CD8+ T cells ...

Ponatinib induces a sustained deep molecular response in a chronic myeloid leukaemia patient with an early relapse with a T315I mutation following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: a case report

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2018
Background Atypical BCR-ABL1 transcripts are detected in less than 5% of patients diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), of which e19a2 is the most frequently observed, with breakpoints in the micro breakpoint cluster region (μ-BCR) and coding ...
