During their biosynthesis, a linear fatty acyl‐acyl carrier protein (ACP) precursor is rearranged through the action of the S‐adenosyl‐methionine (SAM)‐dependent methyltransferase FshF, to generate a pendant vinyl group.

Machine‐Learning‐Assisted Onset‐Time Determination in Transient Luminescence Thermometry
Advanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.Artificial neural networks enable autonomous extraction of onset times from transient heating curves in luminescence thermometry. Using Ln3+‐doped upconverting nanoparticles as luminescent thermometers, we combine experimental transients with physically motivated synthetic curves to enhance data diversity and improve generalization.

Iterative Synthesis of Pyrene–Coronene Molecular Graphene Nanoribbons
Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.An iterative approach delivers a new family of undoped, cove‐edged graphene nanoribbons with lengths up to 9.1 nm that exhibit both molar absorptivity and fluorescence brightness values on the order of 105 M−1 cm−1 and an intrinsic charge‐carrier mobility of 475 ± 32 cm2 V−1 s−1.
