Remotely Controlled Positioning Lasers

Medical Dosimetry, 1991
Positioning lasers used in radiotherapy generally require little adjustment. When required, this is easy to do for sidelights, but can be difficult and time consuming for ceiling mounted lasers. For this purpose, we have modified a commercial positioning laser by incorporating a device for rotating the alignment adjustment screws. This device is driven

The vibration controller design using positive position feedback control

2013 13th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS 2013), 2013
We propose vibration controller design using positive position feedback (PPF) control. The five pairs of electromagnetic actuators and sensors are used to control strip vibration. Strip was modeled using finite element modeling (FEM). To reduce the order of the large scale model, the Krylov subspace technique was used.

Tokamak position control

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 1990
A set of sensing coils to measure plasma position is described. The possibility of placing these coils outside a vacuum vessel (as a resistive shell) is considered by analyzing a feedback system for controlling otherwise unstable axisymmetric motion.

Positive Position Feedback (PPF) Control

2013
This chapter presents the design of a positive position feedback (PPF) controller based on low-pass filters and band-pass filters. In Sect. 6.1, the principle of the PPF controller is presented based on the single degree of freedom (SDOF) case. In Sect.

Intermittent positive control

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1970
The concept of intermittent positive control is to issue commands to normally uncontrolled aircraft only when it is necessary to avoid a hazardous midair circumstance. This concept would depend on a hardware environment which provides reliable location and identification of all aircraft in the protected airspace. A digital computer would use this track

Positive controllability of positive dynamical systems

Proceedings of the 2002 American Control Conference (IEEE Cat. No.CH37301), 2002
The paper is devoted to a study of constrained controllability and controllability for linear dynamical systems if the controls are taken to be nonnegative. In analogy to the usual definition of controllability it is possible to introduce the concept of positive controllability. We concentrate on approximate positive controllability for linear infinite-
