The vibration controller design using positive position feedback control

2013 13th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS 2013), 2013
We propose vibration controller design using positive position feedback (PPF) control. The five pairs of electromagnetic actuators and sensors are used to control strip vibration. Strip was modeled using finite element modeling (FEM). To reduce the order of the large scale model, the Krylov subspace technique was used.

ON THE POSITIVE REALIZATION OF CONTROLLABLE BEHAVIORS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2002
Abstract Positive linear systems, traditionally investigated within the state-space framework, have been recently analyzed within the behavioral setting, by focusing the attention on the autonomous case. Also, the positive realization problem has been fully explored in the special case of autonomous behaviors.

Curvature in force/position control

Proceedings. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (Cat. No.98CH36146), 2002
If a rigid body is subject to a set of holonomic constraints then the set of allowed positions and orientations comprise a subspace in the group of rigid body motions. Consideration of the geometry of these constraint subspaces leads us to consider their second fundamental form. This allows us to predict the constraint forces and torques generated by a

A position control system design

The 3rd IEEE International Workshop on System-on-Chip for Real-Time Applications, 2003. Proceedings., 2004
A Position Controller is a device used in many applications, such as controlling the movement of an elevator. In this paper, we examine the technological issues surrounding the development of an integrated circuit of a position control system. This system has been designed using Magic CAD software.

Positive Position Feedback (PPF) Control

2013
This chapter presents the design of a positive position feedback (PPF) controller based on low-pass filters and band-pass filters. In Sect. 6.1, the principle of the PPF controller is presented based on the single degree of freedom (SDOF) case. In Sect.

Interoperable positive train control

IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine, 2009
There has been a substantial interest in developing an interoperable communication-based train-control system (TCS) for decades. The initial effort started almost 25 years ago with the advanced TCS (ATCS) efforts. This was an industry-driven effort to define a new form of train control.

Positive train control for Australia

IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine, 2009
This article has provided a summary overview of the ATMS PTC system being developed for the ARTC. Discussed herein is the phased approach being taken to develop and roll out the system in the project territory. A system overview and system architecture description as well as a description of each of the major subsystems have been provided.
