Hankel Tensors: Associated Hankel Matrices and Vandermonde Decomposition

open access: yes, 2014
Hankel tensors arise from applications such as signal processing. In this paper, we make an initial study on Hankel tensors. For each Hankel tensor, we associate it with a Hankel matrix and a higher order two-dimensional symmetric tensor, which we call ...

Wearable exoskeleton robot control using radial basis function‐based fixed‐time terminal sliding mode with prescribed performance

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper tackles the problem of robust and accurate fixed‐time tracking in human–robot interaction and deals with uncertainties. This work introduces a control approach for a wearable exoskeleton designed specifically for rehabilitation tasks.

Structured Multi-Matrix Variate, Matrix Polynomial Equations: Solution Techniques [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
In this research paper, structured bi-matrix variate, matrix quadratic equations are considered. Some lemmas related to determining the eigenvalues of unknown matrices are proved. Also, a method of determining the diagonalizabe unknown matrices is provided. The results are generalized to multi-matrix variate, matrix polynomial equations.

The Curious Concept That Almost Nobody Seemed to Care About at First: Virtual Particles in the Post‐War Period**

open access: yesBerichte zur Wissenschaftsgeschichte, EarlyView.
Abstract Short‐lived, unobservable, and not subject to the usual rules of conservation of energy and momentum, virtual particles—an integral part of the conceptual framework of quantum field theory (QFT)—exhibit a number of curious characteristics which, in recent decades, have in part fueled important discussions about their ontological status ...

Orthogonal Matrix in Cryptography [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In this work is proposed a method using orthogonal matrix transform properties to encrypt and decrypt a message. It will be showed how to use matrix functions to create complex encryptions. Because orthogonal matrix are always diagonalizable on R, and the exponential of a diagonal matrix is easy to compute, the exponential of orthogonal matrix will be ...

Optimization of Lithium‐Ion Battery Circular Economy in Electric Vehicles in Sustainable Supply Chain

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 4, Issue 2, March 2025.
Lithium batteries constitute a pivotal component in electric vehicles (EVs) owing to their rechargeability and high‐power output capabilities. ABSTRACT Lithium batteries constitute a pivotal component in electric vehicles (EVs) owing to their rechargeability and high‐power output capabilities.

The matrix Lie algebra on a one-step ladder is zero product determined [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
The class of matrix algebras on a ladder $\mathcal{L}$ generalizes the class of block upper triangular matrix algebras. It was previously shown that the matrix algebra on a ladder $\mathcal{L}$ is zero product determined under matrix multiplication. In this article, we show that the matrix algebra on a one-step ladder is zero product determined under ...

On the validity of parametric block correlation matrices with constant within and between group correlations

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the set Bp of parametric block correlation matrices with p blocks of various (and possibly different) sizes, whose diagonal blocks are compound symmetry (CS) correlation matrices and off-diagonal blocks are constant matrices.

Iterative hybrid model based optimization of rAAV production

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract Changes in serotype or genetic payload of recombinant adeno associated virus (rAAVs) gene therapies require adapting the transfection conditions of the upstream HEK293 cultivations. This study adopts an iterative model‐based experiment design approach, where increasing data availability is leveraged to evolve models of different complexity ...
