Risk of Retinopathy Associated with Long‐Term Use of Hydroxychloroquine in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to estimate the prevalence and cumulative incidence of hydroxychloroquine retinopathy (HCQ‐R) and its risk factors among patients receiving long‐term HCQ with rheumatic diseases through a systematic review and meta‐analysis of observational studies that used spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (SD‐OCT) for screening ...

On directional derivatives of trace functionals of the form $A\mapsto\Tr(Pf(A))$

open access: yes, 2018
Given a function $f:(0,\infty)\rightarrow\RR$ and a positive semidefinite $n\times n$ matrix $P$, one may define a trace functional on positive definite $n\times n$ matrices as $A\mapsto \Tr(Pf(A))$.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

The theorem of Bochner for adjointable operators valued maps

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mathematics and Applications, 2023
In this paper, we obtain a generalisation of Bochner’s theorem to positive definite functions defined on a locally compact abelian group with values in the space of adjointable operators on a Hilbert C*-module.

Information Geometry of Positive Measures and Positive-Definite Matrices: Decomposable Dually Flat Structure

open access: yesEntropy, 2014
Information geometry studies the dually flat structure of a manifold, highlighted by the generalized Pythagorean theorem. The present paper studies a class of Bregman divergences called the (ρ,τ)-divergence.

Isolated periodic wave trains in a generalized Burgers–Huxley equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2022
We study the isolated periodic wave trains in a class of modified generalized Burgers–Huxley equation. The planar systems with a degenerate equilibrium arising after the traveling transformation are investigated.

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

GENERALIZED POSITIVE DEFINITE FUNCTIONS AND COMPLETELY MONOTONE FUNCTIONS ON FOUNDATION SEMIGROUPS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2000
A general notion of completely monotone functionals on an ordered Banach algebra B into a proper H*-algebra A with an integral representation for such functionals is given.

Free and Forced Vibration Analysis of Two-Dimensional Linear Elastic Solids Using the Finite Element Methods Enriched by Interpolation Cover Functions

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, a novel enriched three-node triangular element with the augmented interpolation cover functions is proposed based on the original linear triangular element for two-dimensional solids.

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.
