Hippocampectomy and feature-positive discrimination

Behavioural Brain Research, 1987
The effects of hippocampal lesions on feature-positive discrimination were investigated using the nictitating membrane response preparation. During training, animals received a simultaneous reinforced compound as the conditioned stimulus (CS+) and a non-reinforced element as the CS-.

La discrimination positive : une présentation

open access: yesVie sociale, 2006

Discrimination of relative spatial position

Vision Research, 1990
Subjects can accurately discriminate small changes in the relative position of features within a pattern. Simple patterns (intersected line segments) can undergo magnification and a variety of transformations without significantly affecting the discrimination thresholds. Features to be localized and compared need not be similar.

Lateral position and interaural discrimination

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1977
Experimental results are described for the dependence on interaural stimulus parameters of subjective lateral-position matches and just-noticeable differences (jnd’s) in interaural amplitude and time. All experiments employed 500-Hz tones presented through acoustically monitored headphones.

Elle s’alimente à deux sources principales : l’incompréhension du concept de laïcité et le déni de l’exigence d’un traitement égal.

Generative/discriminative models for nucleosome positioning

2011 IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine Workshops (BIBMW), 2011
DNA of eukaryotic cells is organized into repeating nucleosomes. As nucleosomes significantly limit the accessibility of their DNA to transcription factors and other DNA-binding proteins, their positions play an essential role in regulations of gene activities [4, 8].
