Understanding of Feedback Field-Effect Transistor and Its Applications

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Feedback field-effect transistors (FBFETs) are devices based on a positive feedback loop in which the electrons and holes in the channel region act on the energy states of the potential barrier and wall.

Positive feedback control of Rayleigh-Bénard convection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We consider the problem of active feedback control of rbc via shadowgraphic measurement. Our theoretical studies show, that when the feedback control is positive, i.e.

Stimulus-selective crosstalk via the NF-κB signaling system reinforces innate immune response to alleviate gut infection

open access: yeseLife, 2015
Tissue microenvironment functions as an important determinant of the inflammatory response elicited by the resident cells. Yet, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain obscure.

Feedback: Cultivating a Positive Culture [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Graduate Medical Education, 2015
Feedback has long been recognized as the “cornerstone of effective clinical teaching.”1 Recently, we have seen emphasis shift from an instructor-centric paradigm to a learner-centric model that aims to understand how learners seek, receive, and incorporate feedback. These are crucial first steps in improving feedback effectiveness.

Profit: The Cause of Crisis in Capitalism [PDF]

open access: yesAthens Journal of Business & Economics, 2017
In this paper, we show that the main reason for the recurring crises is integrated into the very foundation of capitalism. The reason lies in the fundamental premise of capitalism that capital must yield profits. This premise demands a constant growth (e.

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
