Positive Implication R0-Algebras

2009 WRI World Congress on Computer Science and Information Engineering, 2009
The notion of positive implication $R_0$-algebras is introduced. The characteristic properties of positive implication $R_0$-algebras are obtained.

Implicative and positive implicative prefilters of EQ-algebras

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2014
EQ-algebras were introduced by Novák and De Baets with the intent to develop an algebraic structure of truth values for fuzzy type theory. In this paper, the notions of implicative prefilters and positive implicative prefilters in EQ-algebras are introduced and several characterizations of them are obtained.

Mechanical implications of chimpanzee positional behavior

American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 1991
AbstractMechanical hypotheses concerning the function of chimpanzee anatomical specializations are examined in light of recent positional behavior data. Arm‐hanging was the only common chimpanzee positional behavior that required full abduction of the humerus, and vertical climbing was the only distinctive chimpanzee positional behavior that required ...

Occipitocervical Neutral Position

Spine, 1999
The study defines the occipitocervical neutral position using cervical radiographs from 30 subjects. To identify reproducible radiographic measures of the occipitocervical neutral position that can be used during surgery to optimize fusion position. When performing rigid internal fixation of the occiput to the cervical spine, the ability to determine ...

Positive observers for linear positive systems, and their implications

International Journal of Control, 2011
A treatment of the positive observation problem for positive systems is provided, for the continuous and discrete-time cases. The proposed observers are positive, that is, they ensure that the estimates are nonnegative at any time. Moreover, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such positive observers are formulated in terms of ...

Positive Organizational Scholarship: Implications for Practice Environments

Research and Theory for Nursing Practice, 2006
Exciting developments in psychological and organizational studies have occurred during the past 15 years. A new focus, called positive scholarship, places emphasis on positive, rather than negative, factors in the research conducted in each discipline. This movement offers tremendous potential for nursing scholarship and practice as it relates to ways ...
