Let C[a,b] denote the class of all real functions f(x) which, are defined and continuous on the closed interval [a,b] of the real x-axis and let C 2π denote the class of all real functions which are defined, continuous, and periodic with period 2π on the real axis (-∞,∞).

On a Class of Positive Linear Operators
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1973In a recent paper [3] Meir and Sharma introduced a generalization of the Sα- method of summability. The elements of their matrix, (ank), are defined by(1)where is a sequence of complex numbers. if 0 < αj < l for each j = 0, 1, 2,… then ank≥0 for each n = 0, 1, 2,… and k = 0,1,2,…

Positive Quasi Linear Operator Formulation
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2005Expressions for the RF quasi‐linear operator are biquadratic sums over the Fourier modes (or FLR equivalent) that describe the RF electric field with a kernel that is a function of the two wave vectors, kL and kR, in the sum. As a result of either an implicit or explicit average over field lines or flux surfaces, this kernel only depends on one ...

Asymptotic formulae for positive linear operators.
2002Asymptotic formulae for sequences of approximating positive linear operators play an important role in the investigation of the corresponding saturation classes. As a consequence of the pioneering work of the first author it has been shown that asymptotic formulae are useful also in studying the representation of some semigroups of operators in terms ...

Positive linear operators which preserve x 2
Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 2003The approximations of continuous functions \(f\) on \([0,1]\) by a sequence of positive linear operators \({L_n}\) always converge to \(f\) iff \(L_n\) preserve the three functions \(e_i(x)=x\), \(i=0,1,2\) (Korovkin theorem). Replacing the variable \(x\) in the Bernstein polynomials by some functions \(r_n(x)\) the author defines the operators \(L_n\)
