Strongly increasing solutions of cyclic systems of second order differential equations with power-type nonlinearities [PDF]
We consider \(n\)-dimensional cyclic systems of second order differential equations \[(p_i(t)|x_{i}'|^{\alpha_i -1}x_{i}')' = q_{i}(t)|x_{i+1}|^{\beta_i-1}x_{i+1},\] \[\quad i = 1,\ldots,n, \quad (x_{n+1} = x_1) \tag{\(\ast\)}\] under the assumption that

Radial Symmetry of Positive Solutions of Nonlinear Elliptic Equations
Three results concerning the radial symmetry and asymptotic behaviour at \(x=\infty\) of positive solutions of \[ \Delta u = \varphi(\mid x\mid)u^{\lambda}, \quad x\in \mathbb{R}^n \] and \(|x|\) large are presented. Here \(\lambda>1\) and \(\varphi(r)\) is positive and continuous for \(r\) large. There are three cases which are separately analysed: (I)

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Bounded and large radially symmetric solutions for some (p,q)-Laplacian stationary systems
This article concerns radially symmetric positive solutions of second-order quasilinear elliptic systems. In terms of the growth of the variable potential functions, we establish conditions such that the solutions are either bounded or blow up at ...

We study the problem $-\Delta u=\lambda u-u^{-1}$ with a Neumann boundary condition; the peculiarity being the presence of the singular term $-u^{-1}$.

Multiplicity Results of Positive Radial Solutions for p-Laplacian Problems in Exterior Domains
We find the second positive radial solution for the following p-Laplacian problem: div(|∇u|p−2∇u)+K(|x|)uq=0 in Ω, u|∂Ω=0, u(x)→μ>0 as |x|→∞, where Ω={x∈â„ÂN:|x|>r0}, r0>0, N>p>1, K∈C(Ω,(0,à ...
