In this chapter, we discuss some of the central problems with the analysis, which we have adopted in the previous chapter, of the meaning of declarative sentences as truth-values. To address these problems, we introduce the framework of possible world semantics, which we then exploit to formulate the notions of truth-conditions and proposition.
