Post-Buckling Analysis of Guyed Towers
Journal of the Structural Division, 1981The post-buckling behavior of short towers, supported by a single set of guy wires is investigated. Using the principle of stationary potential energy, a set of non-linear algebraic equations are obtained for both fixed and hinged-base towers. The equations are solved numerically for several actual systems.

Buckling and post-buckling analysis of cracked stiffened panels via an X-Ritz method
Aerospace Science and Technology, 2019A multi-domain eXtended Ritz formulation, called X-Ritz, for the analysis of buckling and post-buckling of stiffened panels with cracks is presented.

Examination of Plate Post-Buckling Behavior
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1977The main results of a number of previous papers by the writers on plate post-buckling behavior are summarized, and additional results for specific plate problems are presented in the form of simple expressions relating load, deflections, end displacements, and stresses.

Post-Buckling Analysis of Cylindrical Shells
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1978A method is presented for the calculation of the critical load and post-buckling displacements of elastic structures, and is demonstrated on circular cylindrical shells. The critical load is found by successive extrapolations of the load with the aid of the tangent stiffness matrix determinant.

Post-Buckling Behavior of Determinate Beams
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1974A RIGOROUS AND UNCOMPLICATED THEORY FOR THE LARGE ELASTIC DEFORMATIONS OF BEAMS IS PRESENTED AND THE THEORY IS VERIFIED EXPERIMENTALLY BY INVESTIGATING THE POST-BUCKLING BEHAVIOR OF 1-SECTION AND NARROW RECTANGULAR SECTION BEAMS. THE POSTBUCKLING STRENGTH OF DETERMINATE BEAMS IS FOUND TO BE SMALL UNTIL THE DEFORMATIONS BECOME GROSS.

The dynamics of symmetric post-buckling
International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 1985Abstract This work examines the relationship between natural frequency and compressive load for a conservative elastic mechanical system characterised by symmetric buckling. Application of some general theory shows that for a perfect system, exhibiting a stable-symmetric point of bifurcation, the initial post-buckling curve of compressive load ...

Inelastic Post‐buckling Analysis of Trusses
Journal of Structural Engineering, 1983Geometric and physical nonlinearities are considered in the investigation of the post‐critical ultimate load conditions of space trusses. The inelastic behavior of struts is accounted for by tracing the complete stress‐strain relationships in the elastoplastic range. The unloading characteristics of struts in the post‐critical elastic‐perfectly plastic
