COVID‐19's Shadow: The Effect of COVID‐19 on Cytopathology Specimens Received at an Academic Laboratory in Central South Africa

Due to global COVID‐19‐related disruptions in healthcare delivery, cytopathology laboratories experienced a reduction in specimen volume that did not fully recover post‐COVID‐19. The findings of the study highlighted the importance of resilient diagnostic services during health crises.
