Pentoxifylline dose finding trial in preterm neonates with suspected late onset sepsis (PTX‐trial)
Aim The aim of this study (PTX‐trial) is to determine the optimal dose of pentoxifylline (PTX) in preterm neonates (gestational age < 30 weeks) with (suspected) late onset sepsis (LONS). Methods The PTX‐trial is a prospective multicentre open‐label sequential dose‐optimization study with an adapted continual reassessment method.

Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Post-neonatal Mortality in Florida
This policy-related study examines primary care delivery methods in reducing population health disparities. We use post- neonatal mortality as an indicator ofpopulation health within counties to study the effects ofusing contracted service providers compared to direct provision of primary care by county health departments in improving health equity. We

Abstract Aim Non‐surgical treatment of acute liver failure (ALF) is primarily supportive and depends on the underlying cause. While N‐acetylcysteine (NAC) is proven effective in paracetamol‐induced ALF, its potential benefits in non‐paracetamol ALF for paediatric patients remain unclear.

Pathophysiologic Consequences of Early Coarctation Stenting in a Longitudinal Porcine Model
ABSTRACT Background Novel stent technologies offer early intravascular treatment options for coarctation (COA). Mid‐to‐long‐term cardiovascular responses to early COA stent interventions are undefined. Aims We studied a porcine model of COA, with and without early stent implantation with serial dilation to adult aortic diameters, aiming to define ...

Traditional dosing strategies often rely on a “one‐size‐fits‐all” paradigm, assuming an “average” patient with typical demographic and pharmacological characteristics. In reality, this often overlooks existing between‐patient variability and can lead to suboptimal drug exposure or toxicity. This issue is especially pronounced in pediatric patients, who
