Estimation of post-mortem interval using biochemical markers [PDF]
Determining the post-mortem interval (PMI) or time of death is a critical step in most homicide or un-witnessed death investigations. However, the various methods currently used in estimating PMI yield large post-mortem windows and sometimes contradict one another. Traditional biochemical methods have identified a number of metabolites that change post

A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

New neurons in old brains: implications of age in the analysis of neurogenesis in post-mortem tissue
Adult neurogenesis, the proliferation and integration of newly generated neurons, has been observed in the adult mammalian hippocampus of many species. Numerous studies have also found adult neurogenesis in the human hippocampus, but several recent high ...

Chronological Diagnostic Algorithm Predicting Neuropathology in Parkinsonism
Objective Pre‐mortem diagnosis of parkinsonism is often challenging due to atypical presentations, overlapping syndromes, and co‐pathologies. This study aimed to develop a machine learning‐based algorithm predicting neuropathology in parkinsonism using chronological clinical presentations, which has previously been underexplored.

Translocator protein in late stage Alzheimer\u27s disease and Dementia with Lewy bodies brains [PDF]
OBJECTIVE: Increased translocator protein (TSPO), previously known as the peripheral benzodiazepine receptor (PBR), in glial cells of the brain has been used as a neuroinflammation marker in the early and middle stages of neurodegenerative diseases, such
