Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) Tolerance to Diphenyl Ether Herbicides Applied Postemergence

open access: yes, 1989
Tolerance of tomato cultivars to diphenyl ether herbicides applied postemergence was determined in greenhouse and field experiments. In greenhouse experiments, tomato cultivar tolerance differed, but acifluorfen injured all genotypes.

Corn Response to Postemergence Treatments

open access: yes, 2009
Much of the state has experienced below normal temperatures along with wet soils the past few weeks. These conditions not only slow the growth of corn, it also alters plant development.

Comparison of controlled droplet and conventional application of postemergence herbicides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Eleven field experiments were conducted at Kingaroy in south-eastern Queensland to compare the effectiveness of controlled droplet application (CDA) with a conventional hydraulic application system.

Size Restrictions for Postemergence Herbicides in Corn

open access: yes, 2009
While most farmers and applicators have good intentions to apply herbicides in a timely fashion, it isn’t uncommon for equipment limitations or weather to result in delayed applications.

Confirmation of glyphosate-resistant waterhemp (Amaranthus tuberculatus) in New York

open access: yesWeed Technology
Waterhemp has become a serious management challenge for field crop growers in New York. Two putative glyphosate-resistant (GR) waterhemp populations (NY1 and NY2) were collected in 2023 from two soybean fields in Seneca County, NY. The objectives of this

Response of Soybean Cultivars to Postemergence Herbicides

open access: yes, 1982
The acreage of soybeans treated with postemergence herbicides for broadleaf weed control has increased over the past few years. This trend has occurred because of inconsistent control of cocklebur (Xanthium pensylvanicum Wallr), giant ragweed (Ambrosia ...

Influence of saflufenacil encapsulation on corn phytotoxicity and residual broadleaf weed control

open access: yesWeed Technology
Saflufenacil, a herbicide that inhibits protoporphyrinogen oxidase, has been reformulated as a microencapsulation for preemergence and postemergence applications to corn, with the primary purpose of the encapsulation to reduce the risk of corn injury ...
