Retinal detachment following Nd:YAG posterior capsulotomy [PDF]

open access: yesEye, 1987
Five hundred and eighty-two patients who underwent Nd:YAG laser posterior capsulotomy at Moorfields Eye Hospital were reviewed retrospectively. Twelve patients (2 per cent), nine of whom were previously myopic, subsequently developed rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Comparison with other studies suggests there is no greater risk of retinal detachment

Effect of Quantum of Energy used During Nd:YAG Laser Posterior Capsulotomy on Magnitude of IOP Rise

open access: yesDelhi Journal of Ophthalmology, 2020
Objective: To find out whether there exists a correlation between the quantum of energy used and the amount of rise of intra ocular pressure (IOP) following Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy.

Resistance to Axial Traction Decreases Over Time Following Repaired Periportal Capsulotomies During Hip Arthroscopy

open access: yesArthroscopy, EarlyView.
Purpose To determine if distraction distance changes on an axial traction examination between the time zero capsular repair state and a later follow‐up traction examination in patients with staged bilateral hip arthroscopies for femoroacetabular impingement syndrome.

An unusual case of hemorrhage along the capsulotomy margin following Nd YAG capsulotomy

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ophthalmology and Research
Posterior capsular opacification is the most common cause of reduced vision postcataract surgery. It is treated with neodymium: yttrium–aluminum–garnet capsulotomy, and patients usually have good vision following the procedure.

Open and Arthroscopic Acetabular Labral Reconstructions Are Associated With Improvements in Hip Patient‐Reported Outcome Measures at 1 Year, but Only an Open Approach Is Associated With Significant Reductions in Pain

open access: yesArthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
Purpose To compare initial outcomes for open versus arthroscopic acetabular labral reconstruction (ALR) using fresh meniscus allograft transplantation. Methods With informed consent, patients scheduled to undergo ALR were enrolled into a registry.

Ultrasound‐Guided Hip Pericapsular, Rectus Femoris Peritendinous, and Iliopsoas Bursa Injections Improve Extra‐articular Post‐arthroscopy Hip Pain

open access: yesArthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
Purpose To determine the short‐ and medium‐term efficacy of ultrasound‐guided hip pericapsular, rectus femoris peritendinous, and iliopsoas bursa injections with anesthetic and corticosteroid to treat post‐arthroscopy hip pain, and if any operative variables correlated with response likelihood.
