This research integrated multi‐omics analysis of bone tissue from HLU and control mice revealed that mechanical unloading suppresses intrinsic apoptosis and augments glutamine (Gln) catabolism in osteoclast lineage cells. The findings highlight pivotal roles for SLC1A5‐mediated Gln metabolism and XIAP/Diablo axis‐mediated apoptosis suppression.

Can Postoperative Infection Be Prevented?
Prevention of postoperative infection continues to be a major goal for all surgeons. Even though numerous studies have demonstrated that administering a single dose of antibiotic preoperatively reduces the incidence of postoperative infection, there still is significant morbidity and mortality associated with pelvic surgery.
