Multi‐Omics Profiling Reveals Immunomodulatory and Pro‐Regenerative Effects of a Graphene Oxide–Collagen Scaffold in Massive Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene oxide/collagen scaffold is developed for chronic massive rotator cuff tear repair. The scaffold improves compressive stability, supports reparative mesenchymal differentiation, and modulates the immune microenvironment. In chronic MRCT models, it reduces muscle degeneration, enhances tendon–bone regeneration, and improves functional recovery,

Comparing the Effects of Using Isoflurane and Propofol on Shivering after General Anesthesia in Patients Undergoing Elective General and Orthopedic Surgeries

open access: yesمجله دانشکده پزشکی اصفهان, 2015
Background: Chills are muscle contractions and involuntary movements that the patient is not able to control them. Chill (shivering) is a frequent complication after the general anesthesia, which is due to the use of anesthesia drugs and hypothermia; it ...

Materials‐Guided Gene‐Ionizable Lipid Nanoparticles to Reverse Iron‐Associated Immune Resistance in Renal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Iron overload is a common metabolic disturbance in cancer and contributes to poor outcomes in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), yet its effects on the tumour immune microenvironment remain unclear. Here we identify a previously unrecognized immunosuppressive axis in which iron overload downregulates the palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC12 in CD8+ T cells ...

Anticholinergic premedication influences the incidence of postoperative shivering †

open access: yesBritish Journal of Anaesthesia, 1994
We studied 225 healthy adult patients undergoing ENT, dental or orthopaedic surgery; they were allocated randomly to receive one of three different premedications, all given i.m. 1 h before operation. Group 1 received morphine 0.15 mg kg-1 and metoclopramide 10 mg; group 2 received morphine 0.15 mg kg-1 and glycopyrronium 5 micrograms kg-1; group 3 ...

In Situ Stress‐Dispersing Hydrogel Millispheres via Load Redistribution to Restore Nucleus Pulposus Metabolic Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Local stress concentration disrupts metabolic homeostasis and induces inflammation in the nucleus pulposus (NP), thereby accelerating intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). A biomimetic HA/ChS hydrogel millimeter sphere (ChS@HM) is developed to enable synergistic stress dispersion and sustained hydration lubrication.

The Evaluation Between The Impact Of Using Isoflurane And Propofol On Shivering Among Patients Undergoing Vitrectomy Surgery

open access: yesپیاورد سلامت, 2016
Background and Aim: The postoperative shivering is one of the common complications of anesthesia, which can cause increased systemic blood pressure, oxygen consumption, intra optical pressure and heart rate in patients.

The evaluation of effects two different doses of hydrocortisone on the intensity of perioperative shivering in elective surgery under spinal anesthesia: A double-blind randomized controlled trial study

open access: yesJournal of Research in Medical Sciences, 2016
Background: Post- and intra-operative shivering is one of the most complications of spinal anesthesia so recommend a suitable drug with at least complications for prevention and control of postoperative shivering.

Engineered Carbon Dots from a Traditional Herb Pair Orchestrate Concurrent Antioxidant and AP‐1‐Mediated Inflammation to Attenuate Renal Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study integrates two complementary traditional Chinese medicine components as precursors to synthesize bioactive AM‐AS@CDs. Compared with single‐component CDs, these dual‐component CDs exhibit enhanced antioxidant capacity and superior renoprotective effects.

Efficacy of Prophylactic Ketamine in Preventing Postoperative Shivering

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Analytical Medicine, 2012
Aim Treatment with ketamine and meperidine is effective in postoperative shivering. The aim of this study was to investigate the minimum effective dose of ketamine in the prevention of postanaesthetic shivering compared to placebo and meperidine. Material and Methods This prospective randomized double-blind study involved 150 ASA I and II patients ...

ABHD17C‐Mediated S‐Depalmitoylation of BCL6B Enhances CD24 Transcription to Resist Macrophage Phagocytosis in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABHD17C‐mediated depalmitoylation of BCL6B at Cys442 blocks its nuclear import and triggers ubiquitin‐dependent degradation, attenuating transcriptional repression of the anti‐phagocytic signal CD24. This mechanism enables pancreatic cancer cells to evade macrophage phagocytosis and fosters an immunosuppressive microenvironment.
