Postoperative Management of Shivering: A Comparison of Pethidine vs. Ketamine
One of the unpleasant side effects of general anesthesia is shivering in the process of recovery. It is an involuntary oscillatory mechanical movement that can be classified as clonic movements. These movements can affect one or several groups of skeletal muscles beginning from 5 to 30 minutes after the discontinuation of anesthesia. We aimed to study ...

Electroclinical features and dynamic network connectivity of orbitofrontal epilepsy
Abstract Objective Orbitofrontal epilepsy (OFE) is rare and underrecognized. This study aims to characterize electroclinical features and dynamic network connectivity of OFE and subtypes. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 17 patients with OFE who underwent stereoelectroencephalographic (SEEG) electrode implantation and epilepsy surgery at our center.

Abstract Background Trigeminal‐mediated headshaking (TMHS) in horses shares clinical features with human trigeminal neuralgia (HTN). Increased levels of the neuropeptide calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP) have been found in the blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of HTN patients. Inhibition of CGRP in humans has shown promise for pain relief.
