Tribocharging of patchy particles
When granular materials flow, particles charge significantly resulting in large electric fields between them and a strong alteration of the material’s flowing properties.

Electrochemical Study of the Pt Nanoparticles Size Effect in the Formic Acid Oxidation
Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) provided interesting information about the particle size effect during HCOOH electro-oxidation. They were evaluated Pt nanoparticles between 1.5 and 3.7 nm (From Etek Co.).

Displaced searches for light vector bosons at Belle II
With a design luminosity of 50 ab −1 and detectors with tracking capabilities extending beyond 1 m, the Belle II experiment is the perfect laboratory for the search of particles that couple weakly to the Standard Model and have a characteristic decay ...

No anomalous supersaturation in ultracold cirrus laboratory experiments [PDF]
High-altitude cirrus clouds are climatically important: their formation freeze-dries air ascending to the stratosphere to its final value, and their radiative impact is disproportionately large.

Superluminal non-baryonic particles in a 3D-brane universe without equidistance postulate
The 3D-brane universe model is an alternative non-Einsteinian theory of gravity. The initial version of this theory uses the so-called equidistance postulate. In the current second version of the theory this postulate is omitted. In the present paper non-baryonic particles are studied within the second version of the theory.

Modelling of light extinction by soot particles
A simplified model for the prediction of light extinction through combustion generated smoke is presented. The model builds upon existing theory and available experimental data to account for the principal factors that influence light extinction in ...

Search for dark forces at KLOE-2 [PDF]
During the last years several Dark Sector Models have been proposed in order to address striking and puzzling astrophysical observations which fail standard interpretations. In the minimal case a new vector particle, the so called dark photon or U-boson,

Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...
