Potassium, magnesium and calcium content in individual parts of Phaseolus vulgaris L. plant as related to potassium and magnesium nutrition

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2004
In a two-pot experiment of Phaseolus vulgaris L., the influence of K and Mg gradated doses upon K, Mg and Ca content in the pods, stem and leaves was studied. The content of cations changed significantly in individual parts of the plant.

EFFECT OF BALANCED NITROGEN FERTILIZATION IN FOUR- YEAR ROTATION ON PLANT PRODUCTIVITY [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2013
Increased nitrogen use efficiency, NUE, in crop plant production is the main challenge for agriculture in this century. Any success in this objective achievement requires to take into account not only phosphorus and potassium but also secondary nutrients,

Can Cu(II) ions be doped into the crystal structure of potassium hydrogen tartrate? [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
The differing binding preferences of the hydrogen tartrate ligand (HC4H4O6)- namely {\mu}7-octadentate mode for potassium ion and bidentate mode for cupric ion rules out the doping (incorporation) of any Cu(II) ion into the crystal structure of potassium hydrogen tartrate. Hence, the claim of growth of copper doped potassium hydrogen tartrate viz.

Photo‐Assisted Zn‐Iodine Battery via Bifunctional Cathode with Iodine Host and Solar Response Boost

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bifunctional cathode based on BiOI materials is developed for photo‐assisted Zn‐iodine batteries, serving as both an iodine host and a solar‐responsive material. This design enables dual reaction routes involving vacancy‐based iodine storage and reversible two steps iodine redox.

Magnetic Field‐Assisted Conductive Nerve Guidance Conduit Enabling Peripheral Nerve Regeneration with Wireless Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a conductive nerve guidance conduit integrated with wireless electrical stimulation through alternating magnetic fields, which induces currents and creates a supportive microenvironment for nerve regeneration. In vivo studies show that this approach significantly enhanced myelin restoration, gastrocnemius muscle regeneration ...

Investigating the Selectivity of KcsA Channel by an Image Charge Solvation Method (ICSM) in Molecular Dynamics Simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we study the selectivity of the potassium channel KcsA by a recently developed image-charge solvation method(ICSM) combined with molecular dynamics simulations. The hybrid solvation model in the ICSM is able to demonstrate atomistically the function of the selectivity filter of the KcsA channel when potassium and sodium ions are ...

Joule‐Assisted Nanotherapeutic Urethral Stent (JANUS) for Spatiotemporal Theragenerative Treatment of Urethral Strictures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Joule‐assisted nanotherapeutic urethral stent harnesses a smart, biodegradable magnesium stent to orchestrate spatiotemporal theragenerative therapy for urethral strictures. Magnetically induced Joule heating enables on‐demand drug release and bacterial ablation, while simultaneously guiding urothelial regeneration.
