Electrical Stimulation Directs Formation of Perfused Vasculature in Engineered Tissues
Electrical stimulation (ESTIM) enhances vasculature formation in engineered human tissues. In 3D endothelial‐fibroblast constructs, conditioning with ESTIM promotes the formation of dense and highly branched networks that rapidly anastomose with mouse vasculature when implanted in vivo. Vessels formed under ESTIM are importantly functionally perfusable.

This system adopts a biomimetic phospholipid structure, covalently binding iNOS inhibitors, neuroprotective agent PCA and vitamin E derivatives through pH/ROS dual‐responsive bonds, and assembles them with Prussian blue nanozyme to form PBB@AHA. It can efficiently penetrate the blood‐brain barrier and simultaneously release multiple active components ...

Low-sodium beef patties: Enhancing quality and health benefits through salt substitution
The demand for meat products with reduced salt content is increasing due to health concerns associated with excessive sodium consumption. This study aims to evaluate the effects of replacing sodium chloride with potassium chloride (0, 15, 30, and 50%) on

Despite widespread exposure, the mechanisms of manganese neurotoxicity remain poorly understood. Using correlative cryogenic fluorescence and synchrotron X‐ray fluorescence imaging techniques, we show that the Golgi apparatus is the primary accumulation site for manganese in both neurons and astrocytes, and that manganese targets the neuronal ...

Ammonia Detoxification Inhibits Liver Metastasis by Reshaping Hepatic Microenvironment
Liver metastasis diverts aspartate into hyperactive pyrimidine synthesis, disrupting urea cycling and causing pathogenic ammonia accumulation. Ammonia dually reprograms the microenvironment by: (1) activating hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) into pro‐fibrotic metastasis‐associated fibroblasts (MAFs), and (2) suppressing anti‐tumor monocytes/macrophages ...

Role of the Cation-chloride-cotransporters in Cardiovascular Disease
The SLC12 family of cation-chloride-cotransporters (CCCs) is comprised of potassium chloride cotransporters (KCCs), which mediate Cl− extrusion and sodium-potassium chloride cotransporters (N[K]CCs), which mediate Cl− loading.
