Challenges and Strategies toward Cathode Materials for Rechargeable Potassium‐Ion Batteries

Advances in Materials, 2021
With increasing demand for grid‐scale energy storage, potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs) have emerged as promising complements or alternatives to commercial lithium‐ion batteries owing to the low cost, natural abundance of potassium resources, the low ...

Potassium under Pressure: A Pseudobinary Ionic Compound

Physical Review Letters, 2009
Experimentally, we have found that among the "complicated" phases of potassium at intermediate pressures is one which has the same space group as the double hexagonal-close-packed structure, although its atomic coordination is completely different.

Interstitial Compounds of Potassium with Carbon Fibres

Nature, 1968
THE formation of interstitial compounds of potassium in graphite is well known and the phases C8K, C10K, C24K, C36K and others have been identified and their physical and chemical properties measured by several authors1–9.

Production of potassium depletion by benzothiadiazine compounds∗

The American Journal of Cardiology, 1962
Abstract Secondary hyperaldosteronism was simulated in seven patients by the administration of desoxycorticosterone acetate (DCA) in doses of 30 mg. per day. In these patients the sodium-retaining properties of this agent appeared to be independent of total exchangeable sodium.

Reduction of aromatic compounds by potassium-graphite intercalation compounds

Carbon, 1979
Abstract The interaction is investigated between aromatic compounds (polynuclear hydrocarbons, aryl substituted ethenes, hydrocarbons with a mobile hydrogen atom, aromatic nitriles and ketones) and the binary potassium-graphite intercalation compound-KC 24 -in solvating solvents (tetrahydrofuran or dimethoxyethane).

Unusual Chemical Behavior for Potassium under Pressure:  Potassium−Silver Compounds

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1996
At high pressures, there are large changes in the size and electron concentration of the alkali metals. As a result, significant changes should occur in the solid-state chemistry of these elements, allowing the formation of alkali metal−transition metal compounds. The formation of two alkali metal−transition metal compounds, K3Ag and K2Ag, is reported.
