Superconductivity in graphite–potassium intercalation compounds

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1980
Superconductivity transitions were studied in golden graphite−potassium compounds. The transition temperature changes were studied by adding hydrogen to the compound. (AIP)

Biophysical characterization of KV3.1 potassium channel activating compounds

European Journal of Pharmacology, 2015
The effect of two positive modulators, RE1 and EX15, on the voltage-gated K(+) channel Kv3.1 was investigated using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique on HEK293 cells expressing Kv3.1a. RE1 and EX15 increased the Kv3.1 currents in a concentration-dependent manner with an EC50 value of 4.5 and 1.3µM, respectively. However, high compound concentrations

Toxicology of potassium channel-directed compounds in mosquitoes

NeuroToxicology, 2017
Potential targets for new vector control insecticides are nerve and muscle potassium channels. In this study, the activities of known potassium channel blockers (4-aminopyridine, quinidine, and tetraethylammonium) and the insecticide propoxur were compared to three experimental catechols and several other compounds against Anopheles gambiae and Aedes ...

Hierarchically porous carbon derived from potassium-citrate-loaded poplar catkin for high performance supercapacitors.

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2020
A simple one-step preparation of biomass derived carbon materials with hierarchical pore structure for supercapacitor application is proposed. Briefly, potassium citrate is loaded onto poplar catkin, a forestry and agricultural residue, for carbonization

Potassium compound-assistant synthesis of multi-heteroatom doped ultrathin porous carbon nanosheets for high performance supercapacitors

Nano Energy, 2018
Two-dimensional (2D) porous carbon materials have attracted great attentions as high-performance electrodes for supercapacitors due to their large aspect ratio and high surface area. Generally, micropore-dominant 2D carbon materials have higher densities

M2U4O12 compounds of potassium, rubidium and thallium

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1988
Solid state reactions of M2CO3 (M = K, Rb and Tl) and UO2 with M/U = 0.5 were studied in air and in inert atmosphere at about 900°C. X-ray diffraction studies show that (1) M2U4O13 compounds are formed when the reaction mixture is heated in air and (2) MUO3 phases are obtained in inert atmosphere.

Facile Fabrication of Nitrogen‐Doped Porous Carbon as Superior Anode Material for Potassium‐Ion Batteries

Advanced Energy Materials, 2018
Potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs), using carbon materials as the anode, are regarded as a promising alternative to lithium‐ion batteries owing to the feasible formation of stage‐1 potassium intercalation compounds (KC8).
