Soil Silicon Application Alleviates Drought Stress in Sugar Beet (Beta vulgaris L.)
ABSTRACT Background: The increasing frequency and intensity of drought events have led to yield and quality losses in sugar beet production in temperate regions in Central Europe. Under arid conditions, silicon (Si) application reduced beet yield losses under drought. Similar data for temperate climates are missing.

Crystallization behavior of potassium niobium silicate glasses
Crystallization behavior of potassium niobium silicate (KNS) glasses having compositions expressed by the general formula xK(2)O . xNb(2)O(5).(1-2x)SiO2, with x = 0.167, 0.182, 0.200, 0.220, and 0.250, has been studied by DTA, X-ray diffraction, second ...

β‐Cyclodextrin‐functionalized geophagic clay was applied in a fixed‐bed column for the removal of rhodamine B (RhB) and methyl orange (MO). RhB interacts via electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bonding, while MO undergoes cavity inclusion complexation and hydrogen bonding within the βCD structure.

Abstract One strategy to remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere is to accelerate weathering in croplands by adding powdered rock. Both silicate and carbonate minerals can be effective as amendments, but strong acids from rain and fertilizer diminish CO2 removal and can promote degassing of CO2 from carbonate minerals (geogenic CO2).

Borylcyclopropanes: Synthetic Strategies and Applications
Borylcyclopropanes (cyclopropanes bearing a boron substituent) sit at the intersection of two privileged frameworks in synthesis. This review provides the first exhaustive survey of their chemistry, spanning metal–carbene, nucleophilic cyclization, radical, hydroboration, and C─H activation routes, and documenting applications in medicinal chemistry ...

The Material Basis of 18th‐Century Meissen Porcelain
ABSTRACT In the summer of 1708, the quest for making hard‐paste porcelain from Saxonian clay and other mineral resources succeeded. This was achieved by applying as its essential ingredient newly discovered pure kaolin from Heidelsberg near Aue, western Saxon Ore Mountains.

Salty soils are spreading across the world's farmland, often building up unnoticed for years before crop yields fall sharply and repair becomes slow and costly. Our review shows that this damage comes from linked problems in soil chemistry, water management, and policy, so fixing any one of them alone rarely works.

The Role of Neuropeptide Y in Dental Pulp: Balancing Neurogenic Inflammation and Pain Modulation
ABSTRACT Background Dental pulp is a densely innervated, low‐compliance tissue in which neurogenic inflammation can rapidly escalate into oedema, raised intrapulpal pressure, microvascular compromise, and pain. While Substance P (SP) and Calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP) are well‐established drivers of pulp vasodilation, the Neuroopeptide Y (NPY ...

Domain‐Knowledge‑Guided Rule Extraction for Governing Nepheline Amount in High‑Level Waste Glasses
ABSTRACT Nepheline crystallization during canister centerline cooling is one of the most constraining factors limiting waste loading in high‐level waste (HLW) borosilicate glasses. Existing predictive models treat nepheline formation as a binary outcome, yet durability degradation depends continuously on nepheline fraction.
