Control of Potato Late Blight by Cyazofamid
To evaluate the efficacy of the novel fungicide cyazofamid against potato late blight, 5 field tests were carried out in 1998-2000. Cyazofamid provided excellent control of late blight in the field. In preventative scheduled application tests, the efficacy of cyazofamid at dose rates of 67 and 100 μg active ingredient (a.i.)/ml with 10-day and 14-day ...

Felons’ chattels and English living standards in the later fourteenth and fifteenth centuries
Abstract The later fourteenth and fifteenth centuries have long occupied an intriguing and contested place in discussions of England's long‐run economic development. One key issue around which debate has coalesced is the living standards of the population as a whole and of different groups within it. We contribute to this debate by bringing forward new

Say You're Sorry: How Apology Demands Undermine Reconciliation by Threatening Transgressors' Power
ABSTRACT Apologies are widely regarded as a crucial step in reconciliation, yet they are not always offered voluntarily. When transgressors do not apologize, victims may demand an apology to restore their sense of power. In this research, across four studies (total N = 869) we investigate how transgressors react when faced with a solicited apology.

Sexual reproduction in Phytophthora infestans [PDF]
Potato late blight, caused by the oomycete Phytophthora infestans, is one of the most devastating plant diseases worldwide. It is becoming increasingly difficult to control the disease in Sweden, leading to an ever more intensified use of fungicides in ...

Control of Phytophthora infestans in organic potato production [PDF]
Phytophthora infestans, the cause of late blight, is the most devastating pathogen in potatoes world-wide. To replace copper fungicides in organic potato production, we examined preparations based on plant extracts, micro-organisms, and other natural ...

Embedded Pesticide Use: Exploring the Pesticide‐Land Nexus
ABSTRACT Since the turn of the century, global land grabs, farmland financialization and land‐based food sovereignty movements have returned the land question to the heart of agrarian studies. Meanwhile, abiding interest in pesticides has been reanimated in the face of changes in production, regulation and knowledge of toxicity.

POTATO CULTIVARS SUSCEPTIBILITY TO POTATO LATE BLIGHT (PHYTOPTHTORA INFESTANS)
The main aim of this research was to determine the susceptibility of Lithuanian selection potato cultivars to late blight. Late blight infection was different in potato groups with various maturities. In early potatoes disease spread was more intensive, and slower in late maturity cultivars.

Using herbarium collections to study genetic responses to global change
Summary Earth's c. 406 million herbarium specimens represent a largely untapped resource of genetic data that could transform our understanding of global plant populations. Advances in DNA sequencing have made the extraction of genetic data from these preserved specimens increasingly feasible, enabling new insights into plant biodiversity and ...
