Assessing the host plants of the invasive apricot aphid, Myzus mumecola (Hemiptera: Aphididae)
Agricultural and Forest Entomology, EarlyView.We investigated the host plants of the invasive apricot aphid Myzus mumecola (Hemiptera: Aphididae), an emerging pest species in Europe, by combining molecular and ecological approaches. The winter host plant was confirmed as apricot by both methods.

Thermodynamic characterisation of covalent ligand binding
British Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.Background and Purpose Differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF) is a common and straightforward method to evaluate the thermal stability of proteins and has been heavily used for ligand binding characterisation as well as for screening. One class of compounds that is less typically evaluated by DSF are covalent binders.

Fungal infection affects sexual signalling and mate choice in the sugarcane borer
Ecological Entomology, EarlyView.Fungus‐infected Diatraea saccharalis females exhibit enhanced attractiveness to males in wind tunnel assays. Fungal infection alters the pheromone profile of females, increasing the relative abundance of Z9‐16: Ald, a minor but behaviourally active component of the species' sex pheromone blend.

The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.Astrocytic gap junctions formed by connexin43 (Cx43) help maintain brain homeostasis. After mild traumatic brain injury (TBI), total cortical Cx43 increases and redistributes toward a soluble, non‐junctional pool with elevated hemichannel activity and increased phosphorylation at serine 368 (pCx43S368).

Racial Animus, Employment Risk, and Analyst Forecasts During the COVID‐19 Pandemic
Financial Review, EarlyView.ABSTRACT Leveraging the exogenous surge in anti‐Asian racial animus during the COVID‐19 pandemic, we examine its effects on analysts’ forecasting behavior. We find that Asian financial analysts become less bold in their forecasts, particularly among those most sensitive to career concerns.
