Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Wave-Packet Transport in Graphene Under Asymmetric Electrostatic Arrays: Geometry-Tunable Confinement

open access: yesPhysics
We investigate time-resolved wave-packet transport in monolayer graphene patterned with asymmetric arrays of circular electrostatic scatterers. Using the Dirac continuum model with a split-operator scheme, we track how transmission evolves with scatterer

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Theory of Electron Transport in Two-Barrier Five-Layer Semiconductor Structures

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
The dependence of the transparency coefficient of a five-layer two-barrier structure on the electron energy and the ratio of the widths of two neighboring potential barriers is calculated.

Correlation between barrier potential and charge trapping under the influence of Titanium Di oxide nanomaterials in organic devices

open access: yesResults in Materials, 2020
This work has been done to study the barrier potential and charge trapping effect of two organic devices which comprises Phenosafranin and Crystal Violet dye respectively and to estimate the influence of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) nanomaterials in particle ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Vulnerability of Great Barrier Reef plankton to climate change

open access: yes, 2007
Our approach here is to examine potential ways that climate change may alter plankton communities of the GBR in the future, focusing on the physical mechanisms that currently drive plankton productivity and composition.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

The effect of potential barrier on stopping power along axis- channel of silicon for protons [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2015
In this paper, the effect of the potential barrier and open area of Silicon along the crystallographic direction and on the channeling stopping power and the channeling half- distance for protons are investigated.

Location of resonances generated by degenerate potential barrier

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2006
We study resonances of the semi-classical Schrödinger operator $H = -h^2 \Delta + V$ on $L^2(\mathbb{R}^N)$. We consider the case where the potential $V$ have an absolute degenerate maximum. Then we prove that $H$ has resonances with energies $E = V_0 +
