Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Targeting pericytes for neurovascular regeneration

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling, 2019
Pericytes, as a key cellular part of the blood-brain barrier, play an important role in the maintenance of brain neurovascular unit. These cells participate in brain homeostasis by regulating vascular development and integrity mainly through secreting ...

Operator methods of the parabolic potential barrier [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters A, 2000
The one-dimensional parabolic potential barrier dealt with in an earlier paper is re-examined from the point of view of operator methods, for the purpose of getting generalized Fock spaces.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Paired Oxidative and Reductive Catalysis: Breaking the Potential Barrier of Electrochemical C(sp3)−H Alkenylation

open access: yes, 2022
Due to the intrinsic inertness of alkanes, strong oxidative conditions are typically required to enable their C(sp3)−H functionalization. Herein, a paired electrocatalysis strategy was developed by integrating oxidative catalysis with reductive catalysis

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Enhanced thermoelectric properties of SnSe thin films grown by pulsed laser glancing-angle deposition

open access: yesJournal of Materiomics, 2017
SnSe single crystals have been demonstrated to possess excellent thermoelectric properties. In this work, we demonstrate a grain size control method in growing nanocrystalline SnSe thin films through a glancing angle pulsed-laser deposition approach ...

Further Development of Surface Metrology Methods for Predicting the Functional Performance of Flexible PV Barrier Films

open access: yes, 2013
Surface topography analysis plays a very significant role in determining the functional performance for many engineering surfaces. In this paper, feature characterisation techniques, based on the ‘Wolf pruning’ method are implemented to characterise ...
