A Detailed Investigation of Gear Body-Induced Tooth Deflections and Development of an Improved Analytical Solution

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Many researchers have developed analytical methods to evaluate gear meshing stiffness. Some of these methods ignored the effect of the gear body while others used a simplified model to consider its effect. Until now, a detailed investigation of gear body-

Free Energy Calculations: An Efficient Adaptive Biasing Potential Method [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2010
We develop an efficient sampling and free energy calculation technique within the adaptive biasing potential (ABP) framework. By mollifying the density of states we obtain an approximate free energy and an adaptive bias potential that is computed directly from the population along the coordinates of the free energy.

Bi-First: A simple and efficient algorithm to identify dissipated energy in impact problems [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal for Simulation and Multidisciplinary Design Optimization, 2007
The bi-potential method has been successfully applied for the modelling of frictional contact problems in static cases. This paper presents the extension of this method for dynamic analysis of impact problems with multiple deformable bodies.

The Effect of Ionic Substitution on the E.P. of Superconductor using Madelung Method [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 2009
The effect of substitution of the ion instead of La+3 in the superconductor was studied, an increase in electrostatic potential energy E. P. (E) with increase of Sr % was noticed, and a step change in P. E.

Research on the Influence of Backlash on Mesh Stiffness and the Nonlinear Dynamics of Spur Gears

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In light of ignoring the effect of backlash on mesh stiffness in existing gear dynamic theory, a precise profile equation was established based on the generating processing principle. An improved potential energy method was proposed to calculate the mesh

Formation of Stiffness Matrices of Plane Elements Based on High-Order Degree Polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Architectural and Engineering Research, 2021
In this paper, the method for forming the stiffness matrix of a plane element in a plane stress-strain state using functions approximating the displacements of the points of the element in the form of high-order degree polynomials is considered.

Stability analysis of horizontal-vertical ribs-reinforced slopes based on improved minimum potential energy method

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2021
Based on the improved minimum potential energy algorithm, a new method for the stability analysis of horizontal-vertical (H-V) ribs-reinforced slopes is proposed. In this method, the frictional potential energy of horizontal reinforcement, linear elastic
