Killing potentials with geodesic gradients on Kaehler surfaces [PDF]
We classify compact Kähler surfaces with nonconstant Killing potentials such that all integral curves of their gradients are reparametrized geodesics.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Bio-potential amplifier for potential gradient measurements [PDF]
This work proposes a bio-potential amplifier suitable for measurements from an electric potential gradient sensor, in electro-encephalography (EEG). The sensor is an array made by three electrodes placed on the vertices of an equilateral triangle of ...

A method for creating a class of triangular C1 finite elements [PDF]
Finite elements providing a C1 continuous interpolation are useful in the numerical solution of problems where the underlying partial differential equation is of fourth order, such as beam and plate bending and deformation of strain-gradient-dependent ...

On the Potential Function of Gradient Steady Ricci Solitons [PDF]
A steady gradient Ricci soliton is a Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\) together with a real potential function \(f\) satisfying \(\text{Ric}+ \text{Hess\,}f= 0\). For a complete and noncompact \(M\), it is shown that the infimum of the potential function decays linearly. In particular it cannot be bounded unless it is constant.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Short term variations in atmospheric electric potential gradient [PDF]
Short term variations of electrical potential gradient (sometimes called 'agitation') have been studied during fair and disturbed weather and on days with and without wind.

Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

Lusin-type theorem for functions with prescribed gradient [PDF]
openIn the first part of this thesis we discuss and prove a theorem by Giovanni Alberti whose statement shares similarities to that of Lusin's Theorem, hence the "Lusin-type theorem" definition.
