Analyticity in the Potential Strength
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1967The partial-wave S-matrix element is examined as a function of potential strength g. It is shown to be related to a series of Stieltjes in g. This is accomplished by looking at the zeros of the Jost function below threshold and the zeros and poles of tan δι above threshold.

Eigenenergies and oscillator strengths for the Hulthén potential
Physical Review A, 1990A detailed study of the bound-state properties of the Hulth\'en potential is presented. Accurate eigenenergies are obtained for the Hulth\'en potential by numerical integration of the Schr\"odinger equation. One-parameter variational calculations are carried out.

The Temporal Profile of Postactivation Potentiation Is Related to Strength Level
Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2014The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether stronger individuals are able to express postactivation potentiation (PAP) earlier than weaker individuals during a vertical squat jump test. Eighteen junior elite rugby league players were divided into strong (relative 1 repetition maximum [1RM] back squat ≥ 2 × body mass) and weak (relative ...

Relationship between fracture strength of rocks and zeta potential
International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences & Geomechanics Abstracts, 1980Abstract Rock samples of quartz diorite saturated with two kinds of aqueous solutions were uniaxially compressed with a constant stress rate. The ζ-potentials at the interface between quartz diorite and the two kinds of aqueous solutions, dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride solutions and aluminium nitrate solutions, were varied with different ...

On the potential field strength relation
Classical and Quantum Gravity, 1986It is shown that a (non-Abelian) gauge field is completely described locally by the field strength and a finite number of its covariant derivatives.

Influence of Strength Training Background on Postactivation Potentiation Response
Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2011The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of the subjects' level of maximal dynamic strength and training background on postactivation potentiation (PAP). A group of 23 subjects, composed of power track-and-field athletes (PT = 8), bodybuilders (BB = 7), and physically active subjects (PA = 8), participated in the study.

Potential for strength and endurance training to amplify endurance performance
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1988The impact of adding heavy-resistance training to increase leg-muscle strength was studied in eight cycling- and running-trained subjects who were already at a steady-state level of performance. Strength training was performed 3 days/wk for 10 wk, whereas endurance training remained constant during this phase.

Factors affecting the strengths of σ-hole electrostatic potentials
Journal of Computational Science, 2014Abstract A σ-hole is a region of diminished electronic density on the extension of a covalent bond to an atom. This region often exhibits a positive electrostatic potential, which allows attractive noncovalent interactions with negative sites. In this study, we have systematically examined the dependence of σ-hole potentials upon (a) the atom having ...

The adaptive potential of human immunity during strength training
Human Physiology, 2007Quantitative and functional characteristics of human T-and B-cell-related immunity and natural cytotoxicity were studied during nine-week strength training. Long-term classic strength training and low-intensity strength training without relaxation did not change the peripheral blood contents of the main subpopulations of immunocompetent cells, the ...
