Molecular theory considering nuclear potential wells
Abstract This article introduces potential wells around nuclei and their roles in chemical bonds. The approach uses one-electron Bohr atomic model concept. Multi-electron atoms are converted to one-electron atoms by grounding all inactive, non-reacting electrons using the Apparent Nuclear Charge (ANC) and Electron Shielding Effect (ESE ...

Exact solutions for time-dependent complex symmetric potential well
Using the pseudo-invariant operator method, we investigate the model of a particle with a time-dependent mass in a complex time-dependent symmetric potential well V (x, t) = if (t) |x|.

Nonmonotonic plasma potential structures are a common feature of many double layers and sheaths. Steady state plasma potential wells separating regions having different plasma potentials are often found in laboratory experiments. In order to exist, such structures all must find a solution to a common problem.

Direct imaging of tunneling from a potential well [PDF]
We experimentally map the wavefunction in the vicinity of a radial potential well. We photograph light intensity near the tunneling region as well as measure the spiraling phase structure via interference with a reference wave.

From quartic anharmonic oscillator to double well potential
Quantum quartic single-well anharmonic oscillator Vao(x) = x2 + g2x4 and double-well anharmonic oscillator Vdw(x) = x2(1−gx)2 are essentially one-parametric, they depend on a combination (g2ℏ).

Acousto-optic coupling in 1-D phoxonic potential well nanobeam cavity using slow modes
We propose a novel acousto-optic (AO) devise using suspended fishbone nanobeams based on phononic and photonic potential well (PnPW and PtPW). We aim to reduce the traditional device size and eliminate the need for mirror regions in 1-D nanobeam cavity ...

Analysis of nonperturbative fluctuations in a triple-well potential [PDF]
We consider the quantum tunneling phenomenon in a well-behaved triple-well potential. As required by the semiclassical approximation we take into account the quadratic fluctuations over the instanton which represents as usual the localised finite-action ...
