Exact solutions for time-dependent complex symmetric potential well

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2023
Using the pseudo-invariant operator method, we investigate the model of a particle with a time-dependent mass in a complex time-dependent symmetric potential well V (x, t) = if (t) |x|.

A New Model For the Double Well Potential [PDF]

open access: yesChinese Physics Letters, 2010
A new model for the double well potential is presented in the paper. In the new potential, the exchanging rate could be easily calculated by the perturbation method in supersymmetric quantum mechanics. It gives good results whether the barrier is high or sallow. The new model have many merits and may be used in the double well problem.

From quartic anharmonic oscillator to double well potential

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2022
Quantum quartic single-well anharmonic oscillator Vao(x) = x2 + g2x4 and double-well anharmonic oscillator Vdw(x) = x2(1−gx)2 are essentially one-parametric, they depend on a combination (g2ℏ).

Dynamical properties of a soliton in a potential well [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2006
We analyse the scattering of a two-dimensional soliton on a potential well. We show that this soliton can pass through the well, bounce back or become trapped and we study the dependence of the critical velocity on the width and the depth of the well. We also present a model based on a pseudo-geodesic approximation to the full system which shows that ...

Resonances of a Potential Well with a Thick Barrier [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2013
This work is motivated by the desire to develop a method that allows for easy and accurate calculation of complex resonances of a one-dimensional Schrodinger's equation whose potential is a low-energy well surrounded by a thick barrier. The resonance is calculated as a perturbation of the bound state associated with a barrier of infinite thickness.

Acousto-optic coupling in 1-D phoxonic potential well nanobeam cavity using slow modes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optomechatronics, 2023
We propose a novel acousto-optic (AO) devise using suspended fishbone nanobeams based on phononic and photonic potential well (PnPW and PtPW). We aim to reduce the traditional device size and eliminate the need for mirror regions in 1-D nanobeam cavity ...

Well-being and consumer culture: a different kind of public health problem? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The concept of well-being is now of interest to many disciplines;as a consequence, it presents an increasingly complex and contested territory. We suggest that much current thinking about well-being can be summarized in terms of four main discourses ...
