ABSTRACT Corrosion severely affects marine metallic infrastructures. Organic coatings offer a low‐cost, effective solution, but their solvent‐rich processing reduces sustainability. For polymer nanocomposite coatings, additional chemical modification of fillers is typically required to improve dispersibility.

This study synthesizes monodisperse oxide nanoparticles with abundant ionic vacancies encapsulated in 2D porous carbon sheets via pyrolysis of a high‐entropy precursor, constructing a cross‐scale catalytic interface. It enables Li‐S batteries with a high capacity of 761 mAh g−1 at 3 C and retains 80.44% capacity after 1000 cycles at 1 C.

ABSTRACT Biodegradable Zn‐based alloys are promising candidates for temporary implants, yet excessive Zn2+ release during degradation may induce cytotoxicity and adverse tissue responses. In this study, Zn‐xBa alloys (x = 0.1 wt%, 0.5 wt%, 1.0 wt% and 3.0 wt%) were developed to achieve controlled corrosion behaviors with improved biocompatibility.

Trends in the Electrochemical Polarization Potentiodynamic Reactivation Method – EPR
This method designed to examine the susceptibility to nonuniform corrosion, ranks among the more successful technique developments. One of its numerous advantages is that it allows nondestructive, on-site examination. EPR measurements are used to establish the resistance of stainless steels and alloys to intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion ...
