Multifaceted Behavior and Versatility Features of Ferritic Stainless Steels, Part II: Investigating Electromagnetic, Mechanical, and Corrosion Behavior

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This review's second part details the mechanical, corrosion, and electromagnetic behaviors of FSSs. It integrates the foundational microstructure (texture/defects/precipitates) and processing effects from Part I to establish and analyze complex property–property interrelationships critical for high‐performance applications.

Polypyrrole‐Coated Hierarchical 3D Printed Graphene Electrodes for Reusable High‐Performance Biophotovoltaic System

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 9, September 2026.
A 3D‐printed polypyrrole/reduced graphene oxide (PPy/rGO) lattice anode with high porosity enhances biophotovoltaic (BPV) power density and current density by coordinating biofilm adhesion, light penetration, and endogenous mediator diffusion. Optimized PPy electropolymerization maximizes photocurrent and cell–electrode affinity.

Atmospheric‐Pressure PECVD of Organosilicon Coatings on Copper: Impact of Ethoxy and Vinyl Groups on the Corrosion Resistance Properties

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 23, Issue 8, August 2026.
The chemistry of organosilicon precursors controls plasma polymerisation pathways, coating structure, and corrosion resistance. Among TES, TEOS, and VTEOS deposited by atmospheric‐pressure PECVD, TES produced the most compact hydrophobic coatings and delivered the highest long‐term corrosion protection of copper, highlighting a promising chromate‐free ...
