Topological Quantum Biomaterials Enable Pyroptosis‐Senescence Coupling for Enhanced Colorectal Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports conceptually unprecedented topological quantum biomaterials derived from engineered Pd3Sn nanostrips for oncological applications. Their near‐Fermi‐level electronic architecture and superior interfacial charge transport facilitate ultrasound‐amplified redox reactions and efficient ROS generation.

Transfer RNA‐Derived Small RNA‐5’tiRNAGln Drives HNRNPC Phase Separation to Promote Breast Cancer Bone Metastasis by Regulating IGF1R

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that 5'tiRNA‐Gln interacts with hnRNPC to promote IGF1R liquid‐liquid phase separation, which drives ERK1/2 signaling activation, EMT, and breast cancer bone metastasis. These findings highlight a novel mechanism of breast cancer bone metastasis and potential therapeutic target in metastatic breast cancer.

Type 4 Congenital Pouch Colon without Fistula with Anal Agenesis and Lower Vaginal Agenesis in a Female Fetus: A Rare Autopsy Case Report

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Colorectal Disease, 2019
Congenital pouch colon is a rare anorectal malformation of unknown embryogenesis in which all or part of the large intestine is replaced by a pouch-like dilatation that usually communicates with the urogenital tract via a fistula.

Galactokinase 1 Positively Regulates Mitochondrial Respiration by Phosphorylating TIMM13 as a Protein Kinase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
GALK1 acts as a protein kinase beyond the phosphorylation of galactose. GALK1 phosphorylates TIMM13 at Y73 in the cytoplasm. This phosphorylation prevents premature oxidative folding of TIMM13 and ensures its entrance into the intermembrane space of mitochondrion, positively regulating mitochondrial respiration.

Essential Updates in the Surgical Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Current Topics From 2024 to Mid‐2026

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease management has undergone a major transformation with the introduction of treat‐to‐target strategies and highly effective biologic and small‐molecule therapies. Although these advances have reduced the overall requirement for surgery, operative intervention remains essential for selected patients with ulcerative ...

Rare anorectal malformation with a non-terminal colovesical fistula

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports, 2015
We describe a unique case of anorectal malformation (ARM) with a non-terminal colovesical fistula. While some aspects are similar to the congenital pouch colon (CPC), the differences make it a distinct form.

Zebrafish xenograft models as a fast platform for metastasis diagnosis and cisplatin response of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A zebrafish xenograft model accurately distinguishes metastatic from non‐metastatic HNSCC and recapitulates cisplatin sensitivity/resistance patterns. Using patient‐derived tumors, it predicts individual therapeutic responses, offering a rapid, clinically applicable platform for guiding personalized treatment. Abstract Background Head and neck squamous
