Progress in Titanium Metal Powder Injection Molding [PDF]
Metal powder injection molding is a shaping technology that has achieved solid scientific underpinnings. It is from this science base that recent progress has occurred in titanium powder injection molding. Much of the progress awaited development of the required particles with specific characteristics of particle size, particle shape, and purity.

Injection Molding of β-TCP Powder
Injection molding of β-TCP powder was studied. Rod like test pieces (φ6×50l) were produced by the injection molding using three powder-binder compound: (I) β-TCP and several organic binders; (II) β-TCP, alumina (3-9wt%) and several organic binders; (III) β-TCP, zirconia (3-9wt%) and several organic binders. After the binder extraction process, the test

Injection molding of Ti powder.
The injection molding of Ti powder(30μm in average diameter)was carried out with the PBMA(polybutyl-metacrylate)-EVA(etylene-vinyl acetate copolymer)-wax binder system. Ti powder was mixed with the binder at 140°C.The molding composition was 56%Ti powder, 17%PBMA, 21%(EVA+wax) and 6%dibutyl phthalate in volume.

Fabrication of ceramic micro-scale hollow components by micro-powder injection moulding [PDF]
Rapid developments in microsystem technologies demand ceramic microcomponents of increasing geometrical complexity. State-of-the-art microfabrication routes of ceramics are either limited in geometrical complexity and/or high volume capabilities. This

Development and design of binder systems for titanium metal injection molding: An overview
Titanium metal injection molding (Ti-MIM) has been practiced since the late 1980s. Logically, the Ti-MIM practice follows the similar processes developed for the antecedent materials such as stainless steel and ceramics.

POWDER INJECTION MOLDING OF SiC FOR THERMAL MANAGEMENT
Silicon carbide (SiC) exhibits many functional properties that are relevant to applications in electronics, aerospace, defense and automotive industries. However, the successful translation of these properties into final applications lies in the net-shaping of ceramics into fully dense microstructures.
