Rheological studies of aqueous stabilised nano-zirconia particle suspensions

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2012
In the present investigation aqueous suspensions of nano- and colloidal range particles are stabilised by changing the ambient pH. Rheology is used to establish the stability of the suspensions and it is found that the rheology of the suspensions is ...

Chiral gels derived from secondary ammonium salts of (1R,3S)-(+)-camphoric acid

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2010
In order to have access to chiral gels, a series of salts derived from (1R,3S)-(+)-camphoric acid and various secondary amines were prepared based on supramolecular synthon rationale.

Additively Manufactured Porous Ceramics as Tunable Dielectrics for Passive Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Porous ceramic lattices, 3D‐printed from a multicomponent oxide ink, are integrated with LC resonators for passive wireless temperature sensing. By tuning porosity, the dielectric properties and RF response are engineered to produce distinct resonant frequency shifts with temperature. The results establish a structure‐driven approach to customizing the

Morphology‐Driven Electromechanical Performance of Graphene‐Based Electrofluids for Emerging Soft Electronic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Here, two types of electronic components are presented: a strain sensor and a stable resistor. Electrofluids properties are tuned to match these behaviors by selecting the type of filler. We show that the morphology of the filler together with its oxygen content are the key parameters to create electrical and mechanical networks with distinct responses.

Experimental investigation of the effect of the powder and the suspension rheology on grindability

open access: yesGeosciences and Engineering
The grindability of raw materials is a key parameter of mineral processing. It is also very important for some kinds of secondary raw materials, such as the demolition and construction wastes. The Institute of Raw Materials Preparation and Environmental Technology of the University of Miskolc has been dealing with this topic for a long time.

Shaping Carbon Nitrides for Advanced Macrostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review examines how carbon nitride can be shaped through a range of printing and interfacial assembly methods. By bringing together additive manufacturing and liquid–liquid structuring concepts, carbon nitride is moving beyond its traditional powder‐based photocatalyst form toward digitally designed robust macroscale architectures with high design

Real-time in-situ Rheological Assessment of Sticky Point Temperature and Humidity of Powdered Products

open access: yesKONA Powder and Particle Journal, 2019
Unwanted changes in powder flow behavior can unexpectedly occur when a product is exposed to certain conditions of temperature and humidity. This can happen during production, but also during transport or storage.
