A new benchmark for machine learning applied to powder X-ray diffraction. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Data
Although crystal parameter prediction from powder X-ray diffraction has recently attracted the interest of the machine learning community, most existing datasets for this task are private and lack structural diversity.

Enhancing high-energy powder X-ray diffraction applications using a PILATUS4 CdTe detector. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Synchrotron Radiat
Hybrid photon counting detectors have significantly advanced synchrotron research. In particular, the introduction of large cadmium telluride-based detectors in 2015 enabled a whole new range of high-energy X-ray measurements.

Acemetacin cocrystal structures by powder X-ray diffraction. [PDF]

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2017
Cocrystals of acemetacin drug (ACM) with nicotinamide (NAM), p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), valerolactam (VLM) and 2-pyridone (2HP) were prepared by melt crystallization and their X-ray crystal structures determined by high-resolution powder X-ray ...

End-to-End Crystal Structure Prediction from Powder X-Ray Diffraction. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
Powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD) is a prevalent technique in materials characterization. While the analysis of PXRD often requires extensive human manual intervention, and most automated method only achieved at coarse‐grained level. The more difficult and

Parts per Million Powder X-ray Diffraction. [PDF]

open access: yesAnal Chem, 2015
Here we demonstrate the use of second harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy-guided synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) for the detection of trace crystalline active pharmaceutical ingredients in a common polymer blend. The combined instrument is capable of detecting 100 ppm crystalline ritonavir in an amorphous hydroxypropyl methylcellulose ...

Application of X-ray Powder Diffraction Method in Identification and Classification of Leptite

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2020
BACKGROUND The identification of leptite is usually based on microscopic identification technology, but it is very difficult to distinguish tiny feldspar, quartz, and layered silicate minerals such as chlorite, montmorillonite and mica using a microscope.

Synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 1984
The application of synchrotron X-ray radiation to powder diffraction is described. A perfect Si double-crystal monochromator at the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) was used in conjunction with Si, Ge, LiF and Al2O3 analyzers to investigate resolution and intensity characteristics at selected wavelengths between 1.07 and 1.54 A.
