A new benchmark for machine learning applied to powder X-ray diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Data
Although crystal parameter prediction from powder X-ray diffraction has recently attracted the interest of the machine learning community, most existing datasets for this task are private and lack structural diversity.

End‐to‐End Crystal Structure Prediction from Powder X‐Ray Diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD) is a prevalent technique in materials characterization. While the analysis of PXRD often requires extensive human manual intervention, and most automated method only achieved at coarse‐grained level. The more difficult and

Structural Characterization of Pharmaceutical Cocrystals with the Use of Laboratory X-ray Powder Diffraction Patterns

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
X-ray powder diffraction is a vital analytical tool that is used in pharmaceutical science. It is increasingly used to establish the crystal structure of a new pharmaceutical substance, in particular, cocrystal or its polymorphic forms.

Enhancing high-energy powder X-ray diffraction applications using a PILATUS4 CdTe detector [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation
Hybrid photon counting detectors have significantly advanced synchrotron research. In particular, the introduction of large cadmium telluride-based detectors in 2015 enabled a whole new range of high-energy X-ray measurements.

Acemetacin cocrystal structures by powder X-ray diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2017
Cocrystals of acemetacin drug (ACM) with nicotinamide (NAM), p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), valerolactam (VLM) and 2-pyridone (2HP) were prepared by melt crystallization and their X-ray crystal structures determined by high-resolution powder X-ray ...

Application of X-ray Powder Diffraction Method in Identification and Classification of Leptite

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2020
BACKGROUND The identification of leptite is usually based on microscopic identification technology, but it is very difficult to distinguish tiny feldspar, quartz, and layered silicate minerals such as chlorite, montmorillonite and mica using a microscope.

Sub-nanosecond X-ray powder diffraction

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, 1990
The X-rays emitted from a laser-produced plasma have been used to obtain powder diffraction patterns with exposures of less than a nanosecond. The X-rays were produced by focusing approximately 50 J of 0.53 μm laser light in a 600 ps (FWHM) pulse to a tight (~100 μm diameter) spot on a solid titanium target.

X-ray characterization by energy-resolved powder diffraction

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2016
A method for single-shot, nondestructive characterization of broadband x-ray beams, based on energy-resolved powder diffraction, is described. Monte-Carlo simulations are used to simulate data for x-ray beams in the keV range with parameters similar to ...
