Power allocation algorithm in MC-CDMA

2002 IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Proceedings. ICC 2002 (Cat. No.02CH37333), 2003
We propose an algorithm to allocate power among subcarriers in an MC-CDMA system. The optimal power allocation coefficients turn out to be the maximum eigenvalue eigenvector of the modified projection matrix orthogonal to the interference signal subspace. We also present a simple on-off control algorithm to decrease feedback information.

Power allocation schemes for cognitive radios

2008 3rd International Conference on Communication Systems Software and Middleware and Workshops (COMSWARE '08), 2008
Coexistence of one or more cognitive radios with a primary radio where the cognitive radios transmit in a spectrum allocated to the primary radio has been investigated in this paper. We consider two distinct scenarios: one in which the cognitive radios give higher priority to one of the cognitive radios and a second in which all the cognitive radios ...

A Hashing Power Allocation Game in Cryptocurrencies

2018
Various crypto-currencies backed by Blockchain technology are now springing up like mushrooms. Miners in these peer-to-peer networks compete to maintain the validity of the underlying ledgers to earn the bootstrapped crypto-currencies. With limited hashing power, each miner needs to decide how to allocate their resource to different crypto-currencies ...

Power Allocation in Downlink PDMA Systems

2018 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2018
Pattern division multiple access (PDMA) is a multi- carrier non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), which can meet the requirements of massive user connections and super-high data rate in the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks. In this paper, we work on the optimization of power allocation to improve the performance of the downlink PDMA system ...

Mean-Field Power Allocation for UDN

2020
Ultra Dense Network (UDN) is an effective solution to the explosive growth of traffic in the future 5G networks. In this paper, a mean-field power allocation algorithm is proposed for UDN. It imbeds the power allocation decision problem into a Dynamic Stochastic Game (DSG) model.

Subcarrier and power allocation in OFDMA systems

IEEE 60th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2004. VTC2004-Fall. 2004, 2005
In this paper, we suggest subcarrier and power allocation algorithms to maximise rate-sum capacity in downlink and uplink orthogonal frequency division multiple access systems. The optimization problems for both links can be formulated with the same constraints other than the power constraints.

Downlink Power Allocation with Pricing in CDMA

2005 IEEE 16th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2006
In this paper, we present an approach for power allocation to maximize the effective system throughput with pricing on the downlink in a CDMA system. We present a pricing policy and obtain the optimum powers for the users to maximize the effective system throughput incorporating this pricing policy.

Dynamic Server Allocation for Power and Performance

2008
We consider a system of servers that process incoming requests. These requests experience periods of high and low arrival rate. Servers can be powered down dynamically to conserve power. We examine this system with a view to balancing the need between processing incoming requests quickly and reducing power consumption.

Power allocation for massive MIMO: impact of power amplifier efficiency

Science China Information Sciences, 2015
With the rapid development of information technology, massive MIMO is becoming attractive for the fifth generation (5G) communication because of its outstanding performance in both spectral efficiency (SE) and energy efficiency (EE). Recently, many algorithms have been proposed to improve the EE while achieving high SE in massive MIMO systems.
