Mean-Field Power Allocation for UDN

Ultra Dense Network (UDN) is an effective solution to the explosive growth of traffic in the future 5G networks. In this paper, a mean-field power allocation algorithm is proposed for UDN. It imbeds the power allocation decision problem into a Dynamic Stochastic Game (DSG) model.

In this paper, we suggest subcarrier and power allocation algorithms to maximise rate-sum capacity in downlink and uplink orthogonal frequency division multiple access systems. The optimization problems for both links can be formulated with the same constraints other than the power constraints.

Dynamic Server Allocation for Power and Performance

We consider a system of servers that process incoming requests. These requests experience periods of high and low arrival rate. Servers can be powered down dynamically to conserve power. We examine this system with a view to balancing the need between processing incoming requests quickly and reducing power consumption.
