A Comprehensive Harmonic Analysis of Current-Mode Power Amplifiers

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
This work presents a comprehensive theoretical analysis of current-mode power amplifiers as a function of input power for different biasing classes under the common simplifying assumption of constant transconductance and hard current cut-off/saturation ...

Self-Phase Modulation-Induced Instability of High-Power Narrow-Linewidth Fiber Amplifiers

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
In this study, we investigated the effect of self-phase modulation (SPM)-induced modulation instability (MI) on the spectral purity of high-power narrow-linewidth fiber amplifiers and established a spectral evolution model for SPM-induced MI in those ...

Research and design of transient pulse damage in high-power RF amplifier

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong
Due to a variety of imperceptible design defects,high-power RF amplifiers are prone to transient pulse, which has a significant impact on the reliability and service life of the hardware, and seriously interfere with the quality of work.

Analysis of Discrete-Time Integrating Amplifiers as an Alternative to Continuous-Time Amplifiers in Broadband Receivers

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems, 2023
Recent advancements in low power and low noise front-end amplifiers have made it possible to support high-speed data transmission within the deep roll-off regions of conventional wireline channels.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
