Calculation of Temperature Field in Power Capacitor
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2015The operating temperature of a power capacitor has an effect on its service life directly. A 500-kvar power capacitor is taken as the research object. The capacitor fever produced by internal dielectric loss is considered under the running condition of 55 $^{\circ}\hbox{C} $ .

A Quadrature Switched Capacitor Power Amplifier
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2016This paper presents an all-digital class-G quadrature switched-capacitor power amplifier (Q-SCPA) implemented in 65 nm CMOS. It combines in-phase ( I ) and quadrature ( Q ) signals on a shared capacitor array. The I / Q signals are digitally weighted and combined in the charge domain.

Power noise optimization with decoupling capacitors
2017 IEEE East-West Design & Test Symposium (EWDTS), 2017Nowadays Integrated Circuits (IC)s frequencies causes switching noises. To minimize the mentioned issue in IC designs were used decoupling capacitor (decap) cells to filter out noise in power network. In this paper, have been discussed two approaches of using decap cells in Universal Serial Bus Test Chip (USB TC).

High-Specific-Power Capacitors
2008 IEEE International Power Modulators and High-Voltage Conference, 2008Energy density is not the only metric for capacitors. In high pulse repetition rate modulators and other types of power conditioning systems, the reactive power (kVAR) is often the factor driving the physical size of capacitors. The specific power (kVAR/cm3) capability of a capacitor depends on many factors, including frequency, voltage, waveform, duty

Capacitors for high power electronics
Digest of Technical Papers. 11th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference (Cat. No.97CH36127), 2002Many different types of capacitors are available today, most being designed for mounting on circuit boards or other electronic equipment. Generally these fall into the classes of ceramic, tantalum, electrolytic or DC film capacitors. Larger sizes of capacitors are used in applications such as motor drives and kilowatt to multimegawatt average power ...

Power Control to Form Capacitors
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and Control Instrumentation, 1967One problem area in the automatic manufacturing of tantalum capacitors is the control of direct power for forming. Basic power control consists of providing a two-parameter controller for a dynamic load. Initial load impedance is small in magnitude and resistive in character.
