On power series with positive coefficients
Analysis Mathematica, 1994Some classical inequalities of Hardy and Littlewood are generalized initiated by the idea of M. Mateljevic and M. Pavlovic. Roughly speaking, the special functions \(x^ \alpha\) and \(x^ p\) appearing in the inequalities of Hardy and Littlewood are replaced by more general functions \(\alpha (x)\) and \(\Phi (x)\), furthermore, the so-called ``blocking

Binomial coefficients are (almost) never powers
1998There is an epilogue to Bertrand’s postulate which leads to a beautiful result on binomial coefficients. In 1892 Sylvester strengthened Bertrand’s postulate in the following way: If n ≥ 2k, then at least one of the numbers n, n−1, . . . , n−k+1 has a prime divisor p greater than k.

National Power and Processing Depth Coefficient
2019This chapter focuses on the concept of national power, which is a reference index that is used to observe and evaluate a country’s macroeconomic state, and also an important concept in political economics and international relations. The authors indicate that components of national power include not only natural factors but also social factors; not ...
