Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

CMOS Technology for Increasing Efficiency of Clock Gating Techniques Using Tri-State Buffer
Clock gating is an effective technique of decreasing dynamic power dissipation in synchronous design. One of the methods used to realize this goal is to mask the clock which goes to the unnecessary to use in specific time.

Reducing Power Dissipation in SRAM during Test [PDF]
In this paper we analyze the power consumption of SRAM memories and demonstrate that the full functional pre-charge activity is not necessary during test because of the predictable addressing sequence. We exploit this observation in order to minimize power dissipation during test by eliminating the unnecessary power consumption associated with the pre ...

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Proposed Manufacturing Approach for Achieving Fast Startup of Crystal Oscillators
Crystal oscillators provide reliable, accurate, and stable reference signals. As such, they play the vital role of a clock for most integrated circuits. However, because the device’s initial startup condition is microscopic noise voltage, the time

Injected Power Fluctuations in 1D Dissipative Systems [PDF]
Using fermionic techniques, we compute exactly the large deviation function (ldf) of the time-integrated injected power in several one-dimensional dissipative systems of classical spins. The dynamics are T=0 Glauber dynamics supplemented by an injection mechanism, which is taken as a Poissonian flipping of one particular spin.

Excellent combinations of strength and impact toughness are obtained in a bilayer composite of high‐strength carbide‐free bainitic (CFB) steel and high‐ductility twinning‐induced plasticity (TWIP) steel. The composite absorbs energy at small strains when the notch is placed on the TWIP side and at high strains when the notch is placed on the CFB side ...
