CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Recovery strategy of distribution network based on dynamic island rescue under extreme weather

open access: yesIET Energy Systems Integration
The frequent occurrence of various extreme weather has a great influence on the normal and stable operation of the distribution network. In order to minimise the large‐scale power loss of the distribution network caused by extreme weather, considering ...

Estimation of Vulnerable Areas to Faults Caused by Tree Vegetation in Power Distribution Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
Faults in power distribution feeders cause damage to power utilities due to the deterioration of reliability and power quality indexes and the displacement of field maintenance teams to replace or repair power grid equipment. Additionally, consumer units

Power supply risk assessment method for relay protection system faults

open access: yesArchives of Electrical Engineering, 2016
The influence and the potential risk due to hidden faults of a relay protection system on power supply in distribution systems are paid more and more attention to.

A two‐stage service restoration method for electric power distribution systems

open access: yesIET Smart Grid, 2021
Improving the reliability of power distribution systems is critically important for both utilities and customers. This calls for an efficient service restoration module within a distribution management system to support the implementation of self‐healing

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Fault analysis and prediction of power distribution networks on 11kV Feeders: A case study of Eleweeran and Poly Road 11kV Feeders, Abeokuta

open access: yesMANAS: Journal of Engineering, 2020
Distribution system, a vital link between the bulk power system and end users, accounts for 90% of power service interruptions. This study analyses faults occurring on power distribution network using Eleweeran and Poly Road 11 kV feeders in Abeokuta as ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
