Power flow analysis with easy modelling of interline power flow controller
Electric Power Systems Research, 2014Abstract This paper proposes an easy modelling of interline power flow controller (IPFC) into Revised Newton Raphson current injection load flow method. In this model, the IPFC is represented as series impedances with shunt injected currents at its terminal buses. The target of control for active and reactive power flow can be achieved by calculating

Power flow analysis of power system with UPFC using commercial power flow software
2000 IEEE Power Engineering Society Winter Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37077), 2002This paper proposes a new and efficient approach of load flow analysis for UPFC embedded power systems. The main characteristic of the approach is that an equivalent network without UPFCs, which is obtained easily according to two basic schemes of UPFC control, is used for load flow analysis of the original system including UPFCs.

An Overview of Power Flow Analysis
1983 American Control Conference, 1983Network power flow analysis is important in a wide range of power system planning and operation applications. A brief and partial overview of this broad topic is made. A description of the physical network components is provided, and a basic power flow problem formulation is presented.

Stability Analysis of a Novel Power Flow Controller
Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Information Technologies and Electrical Engineering, 2019The novel power flow controller based on Resistive ES (Electric Spring) in combination with PEAT (Power Electronics based Adjustable Transformer) can effectively shape the load power flow at subnetwork level. Resisitve ES plays the role of local controller in power flow, which provides the critical loads with stable and reliable power supply by ...

Continuation Power Flow Analysis
2010This chapter describes a variety of techniques used for determining the point of collapse of power flow equations with particular emphasis on continuation power flow analysis. Section 5.1 introduces the maximum loading condition problem using a didactic 2-bus system. Section 5.2 defines the general model for the maximum loading condition.

2010
This chapter describes the optimal power flow problem. Section 6.1 provides the background of the OPF problem and justifies the need for numerical methods. Section 6.2 provides a general nonlinear programming model for the OPF problem. A variety of examples are also provided in this section. Section 6.3 describes two solver methods for tackling the OPF

Methods for Power Flow Analysis
2011The methods for power flow analysis can be divided to deterministic and probabilistic methods. The deterministic methods, such as Newton?Raphson method, Gauss?Seidel method, fast decoupled load flow method, and direct current load flow method, use specific values of power generations and load demands of a selected network configuration to calculate ...
