Cascading Fault Prevention of Power Grid Based on Key Power Generation Nodes
2021In the case of power grid cascading trip, this study puts forward a strategy to prevent cascading trip by changing the output of generator set. Firstly, according to the specific performance of the power grid under the cascade tripping, combined with the action behavior of the line current-type backup protection, and an expression equation for ...

Test Generation of Path Delay Faults Induced by Defects in Power TSV
2013 22nd Asian Test Symposium, 2013This paper presents a novel test generation technique for defective power TSV induced path delay faults in 3D IC. This paper provides a simple close-form analysis to show that, in a regular 3D power grid model, open defects in power TSV do not induce serious IR drop.

Power Optimization of Steam Generators Under Fault Conditions
2017Under fault conditions, it is important maintain the safety of nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, it is also necessary to generate its maximum power output, especially for small modular reactors, to improve the economy. The helical-coiled once-through steam generator of IRIS is chosen as a research object.

Distributed fault-tolerant control for a large-scale power generator network
2015 American Control Conference (ACC), 2015This paper studies a distributed fault-tolerant control (DFTC) problem for a multi-agent system modeling a large-scale power generator network. The objective is to enable all the agents to achieve the control goal of asymptotic stability without losing the system tracking performance while coordinately identifying the unknown input including nonlinear ...

Open Phase Faults in the Start-up Power Supply System of a Nuclear Power Generating Station
2019 6th International Advanced Research Workshop on Transformers (ARWtr), 2019This paper investigates whether existing protection schemes would detect an open phase fault in the start-up power supply system of a 1092 MW Spanish nuclear power generating station. This investigation follows to the 2012 event at unit 2 of Byron station, Illinois, USA. Symmetrical components method is proposed to draw fundamental conclusions.

The Impact of Solid State Fault Current Limiter on Power Network With Wind-Turbine Power Generation
IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, 2013In this paper, it is aimed to investigate the impact of the various solid-state fault current limiters (SSFCLs) on several electric power networks with the wind-turbine power generation (WTPG). Distributed generations (DGs) are predicted to perform an increasing role in the future electrical power system.

A Fault Detection Device for Wind Power Generator Based on Wireless Transmission
2018In the light of the fact that the detection data is small, the fault diagnosis of the wind turbine often occurs. A multi-channel data acquisition based on wireless transmission wind turbine fault monitoring device is presented in this paper. The system used sensors to collect fan status data, and processes the signals by 32 bit digital signal processor
